Echinopsis 'Turnadot' Hybrid Has a flower sweetly fragrant, to 4½" inches (11 cm) indiameter. Petals obovate, lacerate and obtuse to truncate, inners ruffled, crinkled at sides, all petals bi-colored beige-yellow and bright golden-yellow overall, midrib yellow. Throat-circle light yellow. Filaments yellow. Stem growth is semi-columnar, to 4"+ inches (10 cm) in diameter; central spines to ⅛ inch (3 mm) long. Hybridized by Bob Schick.
This Echinopsis hybrid cv 'Turandot' is named after an opera in three acts by Giacomo Puccini, completed by Franco Alfano, and set to a libretto in Italian by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni.
