Echinopsis hybrid 'Beautiful Dreamer' has a 5-1/2" to 6"+ diameter fragrant bloom that is dark apricot with a light yellow basal stripe, looks mostly a lighter orange overall but can have darker purplish outer petals depending on light and fertilizer given. Several rows of petals-overlapping. Outer petals projecting beyond inners and more sharply acute, light pinkish-purple. Filaments dark terra cotta. Several overlapping petals. Stem growth dark green and averages 4" diameter until first bloom when small, but once it reaches 6"+ diameter 'Beautiful Dreamer' will bloom profusely in larger diameter blooms, maxes out for stem growth at 8" diameter and 8 to 10" in height on average.
Notes : Robust grower, good pupper, excellent bloomer. The name, 'Beautiful Dreamer' is from the song by Stephen Foster. Blooms are long lasting going 3 to 5 days depending on weather in your area, recurving petals more and getting a lighter pink tone each day. Hybridized by Bob Schick.
