Trichocereus Hybrid 'Prometheus'
Specimen Size: 9" tall and 3" diameter plant with seed pod, and two pups 1" in diameter each.
The specimen in the last three photos are the plant offered.
Trichocereus hybrid 'PROMETHEUS' Has a 6"+ diameter bloom with inner petals soft apricot-orange, light pink to cerise on margin, next row of petals same but with a pink to light cerise pencil thin mid stripe. Outer petals are darker salmon-orange. Filaments are pinkish-orange, cream anthers and stigma is cream to light green. Hybridized by Andreas Wessner of Germany.
Growth; Columnar type stem growth to 3'-4' feet tall and 4" to 6" in diameter maximum.
Notes : Great grower & bloomer. Good pupper/offset producer too! Usually blooms in orangeish color tones, but can be lighter or faded if grown in full sun or fades in coloration when open day 2 to 3. See pictures below from various bloom sets and seasons.
